Written in Japanese, this is a compilation of the history of Japanese people in the United States, via 710 of the beautiful senryu poems that they wrote.
Sunny Seki, a.k.a. Sankyaku Seki, resides in Los Angeles, where he is a teacher of Japanese senryu poetry. To create this book, he researched hundreds of senryus written over the past century, and he interviewed over thirty Japanese pioneers to get their first-hand accounts. This book is written in Japanese, but an English translation will be available in the future.
